My 2012 "goal"

I have been thinking since New years what my "goal" for this year will be... I always make some resolution or list and never follow it or only get half way threw. So I have decided my only goal for this year is to take more photo's of my own family. I used to be so camera happy but once I started doing it as a "job" I stopped taking those shots of the little moments in my families life.

28 weeks and counting! Baby is very strong and very active!!

I had a dream about a week ago that it came out a girl. They have been known to be wrong and I still sometimes think its a girl but it doesn't matter anymore. As long as I get a healthy, happy baby. Only about 2 1/2 months left and I am excited. Been awhile since we had a wee little one in the house. My babies are going to be 5 and 3 in March. We are still deciding on a name though...

Once again behind on my photo phone dump! I also still have pictures from Christmas on my camera. Christmas has come and gone. New Years has come and gone. January has almost come and gone lol. We had a great Christmas. The kids got very spoiled and it was great sticking around home this year. We managed to get some dry wall done in the basement so we could set up the spare room and have my sister in law stay with us over the holidays.

The baby room is pretty much ready to go. Just a few more details and a bit more decor, but we are ready for baby! After Christmas we decided to put our basement bathroom together since we got a ton of gift cards to home depot. Its all slowly getting done. My goal was to get the basement done before baby comes but that isn't going to happen. Things cost more then what I thought! And I no longer dayhome or watch other kids and I am truly enjoying the time with just me and my boys! I have a feeling these next couple months will fly by but I am ready!!

Chewy Chocolate chip cookies

Some of you were looking for a awesome chocolate chip cookie recipe. Well I got this one from my mother in law and these are to die for and stay soft even after freezing and defrosting!!

1 1/2 cups margarine softened

1 1/4 cups white sugar

1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla

3 eggs

4 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 (24 ounce) package of chocolate chips (4 cups)

*you can do half white chips and half brown (which is amazing) or even add nuts.

Heat oven to 370 degree's

I just throw everything (except the chips) into my kitchen aid mixer and let it do its thing until all mixed together then add the chocolate chips in last and blend. But if you don't have one...

Beat butter, vanilla, sugar's, eggs, salt and baking soda in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed, stir in flour.

Stir in chocolate chips.

Then I use this (picture below) small scoop to scoop onto pan. They are the perfect size and all come out evenly sized.

Bake about 6-8mins. Cool 1 to 2 mins then remove from pan.

They may not look cooked but trust me, don't let them stay in longer then 8 mins. As they cool they will settle and look delish but stay oh so soft! I even froze a bunch before and when you bring them out and defrost them, they are still as soft as can be!!

Meal time ideas ~ Crispy herbed chicken

Some friends wanted to know my secret behind some of my meals I have been posting on Instagram and Facebook. I don't ever mind sharing and most of the time I love to just make up my own creations, its much funner that way :)

So for my herbed, crispy chicken here it is... super simple and sooo good!!

You need skinless, boneless chicken breasts, thawed (however many will feed your fam)

Then mix together some Kellogg's crumbs with a bunch of different spices. You don't want a ton of spices with salt or they will just taste very salty but don't be cheap with the spices and play it up, mix a bunch together. I added in a ton of different ones from Epicure. I even added in dry onion soup mix once!

Coat each chicken breast in the crumbs making sure to cover the whole thing so no chicken is showing. My chicken is usually juicy so it coats fine but if it wont coat well you can either wet your chicken a bit or dip each one in egg or plain yogurt first. I have done every way and I only like the crumbs on it the best, seems to get more crunchy!

Once coated put all your chicken in a pan with melted butter. Cook the chicken until brown on each side. Then put in a glass (oven safe) dish and bake for 1/2 hour at 350. Check your chicken at the half hour mark just to make sure its cooked all the way threw.

And this last time I bought some Havarti dill cheese slices and placed a slice on each piece of chicken and put it on a light broil until melted and a bit crispy! It added so much more to the chicken! First time I have added the cheese. I just had it in the fridge and it needed to be used up! But don't put the cheese on until the end when the chicken is done cooking cause it don't take long for the cheese to melt under broil. But watch it, you don't want it to burn or broil to long!

Your chicken should come out looking like this! Enjoy

So lately all I want to do is lay on the couch in the afternoons and watch some crappy TV. The kids wake up super early now and I feel like a whale already.

But here is what I have been up to the last few weeks! Still super behind on editing but I am getting there...

I can't get enough of these babies. Every time I made them in the past they turned into rocks. Well my mother in law told me her secret and I am making my 3rd batch tonight. I could finish a pan to myself, but I share!

Almost 16 weeks

I have another doctor's appointment today. I get to hear babies heart beat today. I never heard it at my 12 week appointment (didn't with the other two either). I will be 16 weeks on Monday. It seems to be going a bit faster with this one and that's probably because the other two keep me so busy! My next appointment will be my ultrasound where I will hopefully find out the sex. I am beyond excited to know!!! Hubby and I both think girl this time but I am really trying to not get my hopes up. What do you think?

I told Gage this morning that I get to hear babies heart beat today and he says "is baby coming today mom" ha I wish!!

Our week in iphone photo's

We finally got our pumpkins carved last weekend. It was more fun this year because the boys are older and really wanted to help. Maddox was right in there but Gage still didn't like the pumpkin guts!

So anyone that lives in the same city as us knows how bad the wind is here. Well a few days ago we had a major wind storm and some tumble weeds kept blowing down the alley and then back into these peoples driveway. It was some entertainment for us for a bit. The top photo was from the first night and the bottom photo was the next morning! What a mess but kind of funny! This was across the street from our house...

There was a few tumble weeds that would blow out of the field and down our street and the boys thought it was hilarious because I would pretend they were in a race, there would be at least 6 at a time haha!

Just a cute picture of Maddox in his winter gear! Last year he hated this hat but this year I got him to wear it. At first he still didn't like it but mom and the hat won :) I am truly not ready for the cold weather yet.

And here we have "Woody". Last night was Gage's preschool Halloween party it was a ton of fun and of coarse I didn't take any pictures there because I was busy playing the games and stuffing my face with all the treats. Gage had a ton of fun and Maddox did for a bit, then turned into a ass because he was so tired. Daddy finally took him to watch a movie in the truck while Gage finished playing.

So that is our excitement for the week! Sorry for the crappy iphone pics. It is way easier to pack around my iphone camera then my big SLR. And I am just figuring out how to post the pictures onto my computer lol. Happy Friday!

Well hello blog. I took a well needed break. And I have decided to get back to the grind of blogging! HUGE update... we are expecting our 3rd child in April of 2012. I am 15 weeks now and growing. My ultrasound is November 24th so I am hoping to find out if we will be adding some pink into our house or more blue! My oldest (Gage) is in his 2nd year of preschool and loving it. We switched him to an actual school, which was a bit scary for me sending him to a big school but he seems to really enjoy it. He is also growing like a mad weed and turning into such a great little man! My youngest (Maddox) just chills with momma at home. He is in a weird stage of being a little rotten 2 year old but we are hoping it is a faze. He really is a great kid with a awesome personality but he has some hidden horns poking out of that little head of his lol. I just celebrated my birthday and I am now in my last year of the 20's eek! Life is great lately!! The first few months of pregnancy were a bit rough but I pulled threw and I now feel like I have my life back. I will be posting pictures following along in my "last" pregnancy so please feel free to follow along in my journey. I am excited for the challenge of life with 3 kids ;) Hub's and I are doing great! I couldn't be happier right now!! So check back often cause I am BACK baby!!

Our Valentine's craft

So I decided to do a fun Valentine with my boys! First I cut out a bunch of hearts and they decorated them with crayons and sparkle glue.

They even wanted to write our names on them so we each have our own heart now!

We sewed each heart to some string to hang and I also wrapped ribbon around the hanger just so it would look a little bit better then a big old ugly hanger.

I also wanted to share this fun little snack!!

I watch a little girl during the days while I am home and her mom brings little snacks every once and awhile and she brought these. What a fun tasty snack for the kids (and me ;) ) They are chocolate pudding with cookie crumbs on top and gummy worms buried inside.

About a month ago (maybe less) I had ordered tickets to Toopy & Binoo. I thought I would only take Gage, even though Maddox would have loved it too. But it was a date night out just me and my oldest AND he didn't know we were going until that morning! I had kept it a surprise from him :) First we met up with some neighbours that live down the street, for pizza. Then we headed over to the show. Gage loved it. I took my camera hoping I could get some shots and everyone else had there camera's as well so of coarse I went a little nuts with the pictures!!

What a great night out with my little man. He keeps asking if we can see them again :) At least I picked him up a shirt from the show and he hasn't taken it off since.

Next will be our train ride with Thomas the tank engine, in May!! Can't wait for that one since my little Gage is obsessed with Thomas!!

Chicken Fajitas.

I could eat a million of these! So fast, so easy and everything that you most likely already have in your kitchen!! And because they are homemade they taste so much better!

Fry up your peppers, onions and seasoning in one pan. And your chicken and spices in another pan.

I love love LOVE these spices! Pretty much use them full time! I used the roasted garlic and peppers on my veggies and the other two on the meat. These are must haves for your cupboard.

(the two club house ones found at Wal-mart and the other is Epicure)

Once you get the herbed garlic sea salt from Epicure you won't use "normal" salt again unless you really need to. Even tastes awesome on a slice of cucumber. Yum.

Then assemble all your goods! I did my meat and veggies paired with sour cream, a mixed grated cheese, green onion and lettuce.

So fun for your kids to cause they can assemble there own taco too!!

I chose to do red and yellow peppers because they are sweeter :)

And be sure to get the large taco shells.

They are full of great random and different recipes and each recipe has a picture :) :)

I love pictures because that way you can see what your food should end up looking like in the end result!

So this isn't from any recipe book and its nothing fancy but its quick and delish! For some of you who never know what to make for dinner and you don't want just plain chicken...

Start off with a box of Kellogg's corn flake CRUMBS. I always mix spices into the crumbs for flavor (I am HUGE on flavor, I hate boring food). This time I used onion soup mix because my chicken already had some spices on it because I had boughten the pre-seasoned chicken.

So first you dip your chicken in either beaten eggs, plain yogurt or just a bit of broth or water and then throw it into your crumbs and spices mixture. I have tried all of these ways and this last batch I just spread a bit of water on each piece to get them a little more moist and sticky for the crumbs to stick. Also I cut my chicken breasts in half just because sometimes they are so thick it takes forever to cook the inside but the outside cooks tooo quick.

Next put your chicken in a heated pan with olive oil, cook until browned. Then throw it in the oven for a bit (on 350) and let it heat slowly until the rest of your sides are done cooking! Oh and be sure to spray your oven pan so they don't stick!

They stay so moist and good! Full of flavor :)

I made my side dishes and I want to recommend this spice I found...

This little jar of spice is packed full of flavor. I mixed this in with our potatoes and even put some on the corn with butter! We also tried it on plain cheese pizza's and it add's so much to the food! I think I found it either at Wal-mart or Sobey's.

Once your done your chicken should look something like this :) Its so easy and your kids will love it! It is one of my hubby's faves for sure!!

So after checking out the store (for the first time) a few weeks ago I decided to check it out again online! Oh man my credit card is going to get some use! I am in love with almost everything on that site. Clothes, swim suites, scarfs, flats, heels, bags, jewelry and of coarse all of there home decor!

Check out these mugs that I must get my hands on.

Next I found these awesome books that are a must buy for me!!

Aren't these steak knifes to die for?! We have had our steak knives for years and I think its time for an upgrade! :)

My mother in law made me some aprons which I don't use much but I am sooo in love with this one! I just want it just to hang in my kitchen :)

I thought these salt and pepper shakers were cute as well. I just love how much color is used in all of there things. I totally need more color in my life!

This table runner belongs on my table! Or it belongs on that table and that table and runner belong in my dining room! Speaking of dining sets, I found one that I am in love with at Jysk! But I might try this summer to sand our table and give it an "old" look? The top of it is peeling apart anyways so something has to be done with it. Its either sand it down and have fun with it or sell and buy another one....hmmm decisions, decisions.

I must get my hands on this super cute jewelry box! I had a very large jewelry armorer but it was just to big. I sold it and now my jewelry is just throw in my bedside table drawer so this is a must!!

A few other things I absolutely loved was the owl cookie jars, all the dish towels and I found some amazing bedding! But if any of you shop at this store you will all know that most of there things come with a pretty big price tag attached! But I will say that some of these items will end up in my home! I haven't really found "my style" for my house yet. I love new, clean lines and modern but I am so in love with vintage!!

"mini" Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins :)

I had a mean craving for some chocolate chip banana muffins the other day so of coarse I whipped up a batch ;)

We seem to always end up throwing away a banana or two here or there because they brown so quickly and don't get eaten and I hate throwing food away all the time so that's when this recipe comes in handy...

I really like to make the mini ones because they are the perfect size for my midgets and they are bite size for us :) Just pop one in your mouth and be on your way!! Or 3, like my hubby. What can I say, he loves my mini muffins!
I must say that I never ever thought of getting a kitchen aid mixer, my in laws got me this one for a gift one year and its amazing! I love how you can throw all your supplies in, turn it on and it does the work for you! It was love at first site/use!
For the mini's I like to use this wonderful scoop. It is the perfect amount! It is also the perfect amount for cookies!! The larger one is great for normal size muffins and cupcakes! Just some random info for you haha ;)

They are like little pieces of heaven!

I know Christmas is over but this is the only tall mug I have at the moment! I found some sweet mugs and dishes at Anthropologie a few weeks ago. That was the first time I had ever been in that store and I am in heaven! I.must.go.back.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 banana's
3/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup butter melted
Chocolate chips (until there is enough to make you smile)

preheat oven to 350-375. Lightly grease your muffin tins. If you have a kitchen aid mixer just throw all your goods in and let it mix its magic for a few mins (I add the chocolate chips after it has mixed a bit). Bake for 18-20mins for large muffins, if you are doing mini's just keep your eye on them. If your house starts on fire, well sorry they were in for to long!

Is it odd that my son always wants to eat just plain bread? He will eat toast (usually toast with butter, cinnamon and sugar and he calls it "sugar mins toast.") He will also eat sandwiches. But he prefers plain bread, plain buns, plain everything? He always says, mom can I have a "piece of chunk of bread."? I find it strange but hey as long as the kid eats right :)

If you are one to throw your hair back on a busy day and stuff a head band in your hair to keep those awful mid length bangs out of your way then these are for you!!

I like to wear a head band but always have issues with them slipping off my head, annoying! I looked at these bands before but kept walking cause they are a bit more pricey. I finally climbed off my wallet and bought some and sooo glad I did! They have rubber stitched threw them so they stay in place and they really do work! So I recommend these little babies for the lady that likes to hang in her sweats all day, hair pulled back and a head band as your accessory for the day :)

Also I just have to say that I am IN LOVE with my new Canon 85mm lens that hubby got me for Christmas!!! :) I am so lucky, and that deserves another smiley :)

Did I mention that I am taking off for the weekend WITHOUT KIDS!!! This will be the first time EVER that hubby has had the kids all night alone. And I am sure they will do fine! I am headed out Friday afternoon with my mom and sister to do A LOT of shopping and maybe have a few to many cocktails ;) I am counting down the days!!! This momma deserves a well needed break and I plan on bringing my camera along for the ride ;)

Cake pops!!

Check out this cute book I found!

One evening I needed a bit of time to myself so I headed over to Chapter's book store and just wondered around for awhile. I searched photography books, cook books and everything in between. Both my boys birthdays are in March and this year I want to make there cake myself. Their cakes last year were cute but I didn't care for the fondant at all and everyone ate the cupcakes I had made rather then the cakes that I paid a fortune for. So this year I am going to make them something special. Of coarse Gage wants a Thomas the train cake so I thought it would be fun to make a train cake and then in the caboose, some of these fun cake pops. Or I might just make the cake pops. Kids never finish there whole piece of cake and these are small and fun!

They don't have any train cake pops in this book but I'm sure they couldn't be that hard to make! Practice makes perfect :)

But don't you just love those little chicks and I think the owl's are my fave!

Absolutely love these little farm animals!! To cute indeed :)

And I just had to share these popcorn ones! I thought they were super fun.

These little cakes are something I am sure I can pull off, much easier then trying to make some huge beautiful cake lol.

So I might do a practice run in the next few weeks and I will totally share the outcome on my blog. Wish me luck :)

And speaking of cakes, my in laws came for dinner the other night. We had a nice roast with gravy, a flavored chicken and wild rice, broccoli with melted cheese and of coarse for dessert I made an awesome Devil's food chocolate cake with a white fluffy icing and in the middle I chopped up strawberries very small and mixed them with a bit of sugar. Those strawberries in the center if that cake just took it to the next level.

The Book of Awesome!

Today as I was dropping my oldest off at pre school my bestie (Erin) gave me this book. Our boys go to pre school together and I see her from time to time there.

At first I will admit that I thought she was holding a bible, lol.

I asked her "what's that"? She said "oh this is for you, its the book of awesome".

WHAT????

This book is one I recommend to everyone and you have to read it to really get it but I will try to explain. First off I just started reading it so I am only a little ways in but here is what its about...

You know when you find a 20$ bill in a coat pocket that you hadn't worn in months, well that's awesome.

Or when you go to shovel your snow only to find that your neighbour had already done it for you. Awesome.

Or when you wake up only to look at the clock and find that you get another hour of sleep. Awesome.

This book is just about some of the awesome things that happen in our lives and makes us realize that sometimes we need to stop and smile at those things and realize how amazing those little things are. Some of the things I have read in this book so far have put a huge smile on my face and made me think "wow that really is awesome". And the best part is, she got it as a Christmas gift, gave it to me to read and once I am done I have to pass it along to someone else to read. I think that's awesome! We also decided to write our names in the book after we read it and before we pass it along, so if it ever ends up in your hands just know where the tail began, from this beautiful lady in my life......

Roasted Asparagus with Parmesan

Here is one of the first recipes I have tried for 2011 and it is delish! It is quick and easy and could be a great side dish to any meal. And I found this recipe on one of my favorite foodie sites.... Meal Planning 101.

2 bunches of asparagus

1 tbsp olive oil

Coarse salt and fresh ground pepper

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Trim the tough ends from the asparagus. On a rimmed baking sheet, toss the asparagus with the oil and season with salt and pepper. Spread in an even layer. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Roast for 10-15 minutes until the asparagus is tender and the cheese is melted. Serve immediately.

I didn't measure any of my ingredients so I am sure I added extra oil and cheese (which worked out fine. I love lots of cheese). I also added some herbed garlic sea salt (from Epicure) as well just for extra flavor. Flavor means everything to me when I am cooking. The more flavor a dish has, the better it is :)

I could have this dish at least once every week or two. The one thing I would do different is make sure the oil has soaked every part of the greens, only because as they bake I found if it didn't have the olive oil on it, it got very crispy (mainly the ends) and I found it a little tougher to chew then the middle parts. Hubby loved every part of it!

We paired it with a Tomato Basil flavored rice from Uncle Ben's and a nice seasoned minute steak. It looked beautiful on the plate but I didn't get a picture because my children were crying and freaking out. I guess the world was ending in there eyes...

Hope you try it and enjoy it as much as we did!!

So first I got a small camera bag. I have a large one that fits most of my stuff but I really wanted a smaller one. My sister in law actually got me a gift card to this camera store and I picked this out and love it! I also got a lens cleaner pen, haven't tried it out yet though.

Next I had asked for a new toaster because well, ours sucks! I love this toaster and it matches my kitchen much better then my white one ;)

P.S. you like my green kitchen walls? I was asked to share pictures of my paint job I did in my house and I will do that soon cause I am almost done decorating those rooms! I promise ;)

I had got a tassimo machine from my in laws for my birthday and I really wanted a way to display all my flavors and disc's and to free up room in my cup boards. Not to mention it looks cute sitting on my counter! Not sure where my brother got this one from but I have seen them at Walmart if you are looking for one.

(Thanks again brother, love it) Ohhh bath and body works, how I love you so! I had put this on my list that I gave to everyone so I got a bottle or two from almost everyone and bought more on boxing day so I now have a great stock of hand soap, because we don't have a bath and body works where we live.Here are just some of the books the boys got for Christmas! Ya they were spoiled but I loved it and so did they :)So we moved Gage into the double bed because he wasn't sleeping well in the single and Maddox was moving out of his crib and needed a place to go. This was the spare bed and we only ever had "adult" bedding for that bed so my mom and dad got him this bed set. He is now bugging me to paint his room, which I plan on doing one day but it would be fun to surprise him with it!! Here is the spoka night light from Ikea (find it here) I first saw this while searching the Ikea web site and I knew I had to get this for Gage. My mom was in Calgary so she actually got it for him and he loves it. He says he wants the small round one as well. But it plugs in or it can be unplugged and stay lite for up to 5 hours. It has a nice glow to it, which is good cause he keeps his on all night (going threw a faze of being scared of things in his room). It also changes color. I find it better then a lamp because it is a rubber finish so its soft, it doesn't take up much room and its cute to look at :)Oh Elmo, how we love you! My little Maddox LOVES Elmo!!!

He got 2 LOL. So this is such a cute idea! My sister in law got Maddox this little Lion flash light. When you hold it, it pushes down on the button and the mouth opens and growls as the light shines out. So cute! I think Gage plays with it more then Maddox but that seems to happen in our house, a lot.Just some of the clothes the boys got. Most of them are Gages since he is growing out of all his and lucky Maddox gets all Gages small clothes.Here is the cutest snow suit my sister got Maddox! She works at Sports Check and picked this up for him. I love it!! It is a bit big on him but he doesn't mind. He hates the hat though, won't wear it at all but its pretty big on him. Maybe next year!!?My younger brother got both the boys some cute DC runners and we all loved Gages but they just fit him now and there is a ton of snow on the ground. So we took them back and of coarse they didn't have a bigger size so we picked him up this stylin hat!!

(his daddy has the same one, but in white) ;)Gage got a few more trains to add to his ever growing collection of trains.

No he didn't get all of these ones shown. He got about 5 new ones and the rest he had. These aren't even all of his trains, ya its getting out of control haha!

Here is the big gift from Santa! It is the Thomas zip zoom logging adventure! He drives around the track goes across a zip line comes to a logging mine and dumps his log out, it gets cut in half and dumped back into his freight car. Super awesome little gadget and I recommend it!! It also attaches to all his other track he already had so he now has a huge track that we had to move and set up in the basement. And here is Gage just being silly haha!

So the boys also got a basket ball net, a hockey net set, lots of movies, a bunch of other toys, puzzles (that Gage does about 5 times a day and all by himself) a wooden train set from my dad (which I also took pictures of but they are on my camera still). We got tons of gift cards and cash which I will share in a later post what I bought with that. I got some awesome stuff with my gift cards!!! The boys got their daddy the Cabela's dangerous hunts 2011 for Xbox 360 and he loves it. All the guys actually played it on new years and I think all of them are buying one now, so men out there, that ones for you!! I got my new Canon 85mm lens from Santa and his two little elf's (my wonderful hubby). Such a happy momma!!!!!

Christmas. Part 2.

Once we got back from Edmonton on the 27Th we dropped off our stuff at home, changed and headed over to my mom's house to have some Christmas cheer with my family. Instead of having the normal turkey dinner we planned on having a fondue. I LOVE FONDUE!! It is the best way to have any food. You have your choice of anything that is put out on the table and you just munch all night. So after we opened our gifts everything got set up for our deep fried goodness! Delish!! My mom put one of these wooden puzzle solving blocks in each of our stockings. I haven't tried mine yet but I guess they are very hard, some more then others. The guys sat for awhile trying to figure out these little puzzles...After we finished chowing down and feeling all fat and tight in our jeans we decided to do a group family picture. Here is a little story on the family picture situation. The last family picture we got (not including spouses and my children) my younger sister was around the age of 3. Well she is now a whopping 18 years of age so we were loooong over due. Sometimes its hard to get a family picture because my older brother lives out of town and my younger brother works out of town. Anyways we grabbed a group pic before my hubby took my little ones home to bed.Then the fun began after my littles left to go home with daddy.

After we finished "our photo shoot" we decided to top up our glasses and gather around the table for a game. I didn't last to much longer because I was exhausted from driving home and not sleeping well the whole weekend but I still had a blast!! Thank you to my crazy family for finally getting some pictures taken and being so fun with it!

Christmas. Part 1.

Let me first start off by saying I have tried to post my Christmas pictures, well since Christmas! I don't get it cause I have no problems with posting pictures on my other blog?! Anyways I could only load 2, yes 2 pictures at a time but I DID IT!!

Now onto our Christmas!! This year we decided to head to Edmonton for Christmas. My sister in law lives there and every year she comes down to our neck of the woods so we thought it was about time we went there. Plus we really couldn't wait to get away for a bit. The boys left a day early with my in laws (which I must say they travelled so well) and after hubby got home on Christmas eve we headed out. The roads were actually decent and it was a nice drive with just the two of us! Once we got there we unloaded everything and let the snacking begin. Christmas is my most favorite time of the year because of all the yummy foods and drinks and its extra special now because of the two boys.

So after the boys had there bath and got jammies on we let them open one gift early, from there auntie. Maddox didn't seem to care much but Gage was loosing his mind. It makes my heart so happy now to see such excitement on a child's face.

So after the boys were fast asleep we did our "Santa" work and unloaded all the gifts from the truck and piled them under the tree. Had our little nibble of the cookies. No one wanted to drink the milk, well because we had a much better choice of drink in our glass so we just saved the milk in the fridge. "Santa" decided to write a little note back to Gage and then we sat around the table, drinks in hand and played some board games. Let me tell you... I don't think I have laughed that hard in a long time. I mean tears rolling down your face, stomach aching, kind of laughs. It felt great!! I didn't sleep well that night because I really couldn't wait for the boys to wake up and see there first reaction. Its funny cause when your a little tike growing up, you cant wait to wake up in the morning to see your stockings overflowed with goodies and all the piled presents with beautiful bows stacked up under the tree. And now being a parent myself I still wake up early just waiting to see there smiling faces as they get that first glance.

I had said the night before as we were stacking gifts that Gage would probably think all the gifts were for him. Boy was I right. As soon as we got up stairs he shouts out "look at all the gifts Santa brought me". My heart melted and I just smiled. We handed them there full stocking and let the party begin.

Then we moved onto gifts from Santa. We made the mistake of giving Gage the Sears Christmas wish book months ago and I finally had to get rid of it. With pages torn, worn and full of food that book had seen better days. Gage had "his page" in the book, full of Thomas the train. He wanted the zip zoom logging adventure in the worst way. Every time we went to Walmart we had to take a stroll down the train aisle just so he could look at the train. Well once he opened that gift its like his whole little world stood still for a moment. He was beyond excited. Maddox still wasn't to into the whole gift thing. He opened a few and then was done. Hubby and I got spoiled as well, as we always do. But I will share a list of all our Christmas goodies in another post!!

So all in all our Christmas eve and day went great! We decided to stay in Edmonton for boxing day and headed to the outlet stores. I hadn't been boxing day shopping in years so it was time. We got some good buys and the stores weren't as busy as I thought they would be. It was a nice time away but I think with having our own children and family now we like being at home for Christmas. Next year will be spent at home. We want to create our own Christmas family traditions now!

Check out this neat idea I found on one of the blogs I follow. It is a ringlet t-shirt scarf made from old t-shirts. All you need is some t-shirts and a pair of scissors. HERE are the exact instruction's on how to make this fun scarf. And you can make it in any color your heart desires.

This is my first try at one... Some of the shirts I used didn't want to do what I wanted them to do but it turned out cute!! I plan on making THIS next!!

Not sure how many of you watch Oprah and I never really did until this year! Well Oprah does a favorite things list every year at Christmas when she tells her favorite things and gives them away! I wanted to list a few of my favorite things (but no give away, sorry). And in no particular order!

So first is the Kitchen aid mix master. I never thought of getting one of these before but my in laws bought it for me and I love it! Stix made by pringles. Tried them for the first time the other day and they are so delish! My kids could snack on them all day long (me as well). I have only tried the honey butter but oh my, I'm hooked! Next we have the Tassimo machine. Makes any of your favorite hot drink by buying the little disc's and it reads the bar code. Another fave that my in laws got me! Bath and Body works soap. To die for!!! Smells so good you wanna eat it!Falsies Mascara! Works so good. My Canon 50mm lens.My 24-70mm lens.
Canon 40D (which I don't think they make anymore)My awesome blackberry! Love it!

I know this is just a month late but I was having problem's uploading pictures. It was taking FOREVER! So this year was nice cause we carved pumpkins as a family and went out trick or treating as a family. The boys missed Halloween last year due to H1N1 so they were even more excited this year. Maddox didn't seem to like his costume much but he was fine once he started to get candy and was done after the first house but we kept on going!!

We had parent, teacher interviews the other day and it went great! Gage likes to be involved in everything, enjoys doing all of the crafts and activities and is learning to print his name. They said his speech is above and beyond for his age. He listens very well and is very polite and kind. We are so proud of him!!

So after doing ALOT of thinking and soul searching I have decided to make some changes in my life! I have been in a slump at home, a creative slump, a slob slump, IN. A. SLUMP. I didn't know how to get out. Then this morning while checking out some blogs that I love, I came across THIS. So I decided to make some changes and I realized, I was not alone. I need to better myself for my husband, my children, my photography and for myself. So I decided to get a journal (which I have done lots in the past but never followed threw) and I'm going to write in it when I feel the need to vent or open up. I am also going to keep my blog and post more. Even if no one reads it, it is a place for me!! I am also going to take pictures daily weather it be of random things, my kids or whatever, I am going to do it!! I need my creative eye back. I need to get my life back in order and change the way things are because for me a slump is a form of depression and well let's face it, who likes to be depressed all the time?!

Why hello blog!!

I know I have gotten into a blogging ditch and can't seem to climb my way out. For a long time now I wonder if I should keep this blog going?? I have so much to say but no time to type it or I just don't know how to put it down on the screen. Do I keep my blog going? Are people reading it? Do certain people deserve to know how me and my family are doing? Ugg!

Awhile back I went threw a tough time. I don't think it was post pardom cause it was a long time after I had my second son but I went threw some big depression, for a few months. Maybe it was a late post pardom?? who knows cause I have never been threw it before but all I know is, I was sad.

And still to this day I sometimes just get into a slump where I feel like a slob, always wearing sweat pants, my hair a mess and stuck in 4 walls, my house a mess and I can't seem to keep up with it, not happy with my house even though its beautiful and new, not happy with the way I look after having children and the list really goes on and on. And I am so hard on myself when it comes to my photography. It is my passion and it is what I want to do in life but am I good enough? Yes I should be more positive but where I live there is seriously a photographer on every block of this city. Some days I wonder why I am not more busy? How do I make myself better then all the rest and stand out from the rest? I am so hard on myself and sometimes I think it effects my photography and my life. I think I should just let go and stop comparing myself to everyone else but how do you do that??? There are things in my life that I really need to deal with and learn to get past and let the pain go and maybe then I will be able to move on and succeed in life? Maybe I need to talk to someone about this? Sometimes friends don't understand like you want them to. I have alot of hurt and can't seem to get past it and I know people go threw hard times in there lives but how do you deal with it when its years of hurt?... I am now 28 years old and am just trying to figure that out now!

There are so many more things I wanna blog about but should I really open my self up to the outside world? Do I dare let my feelings out there??

I finally started on my sleeve. This is just the outline but I am actually going back tomorrow to get it finished! I find that it sometimes helps get rid of stress and pain in my life, by receiving pain... does that make sense??

Wow! Has it really been over 2 months since I last did a post! Life is crazy busy and flying by. My photography has been going well. I got to shoot for Alberta bride Magazine and some of my work made it in the mag. Yay. Now I am just trying to get caught up with all my editing and house work. My busy life is never ending. Sometimes exhausting but keeps me on my toes.

My oldest boy is going to pre school (the word "school" scares me) that just means he is growing up way to fast. But he loves going! My youngest is into EVERYTHING. Much worse then his older brother ever was. He defiantly keeps me busy!

My birthday is in 3 weeks as well as my sisters 18th. We have a huge shin dig planned and I can't wait. We made it a sex and the city theme so everyone is dressing up! I can't wait for a fun night out. I am also finally starting my sleeve, October 10th to be exact! I am so pumped for that. Don't worry I will share pics.

Well just wanted to do a quick post cause its back to editing for me. I promise I will try to not wait to 2 months for a post again. And I will start sharing more pics ;)

Summer Fashion Week

I have so much to blog about but can't seem to find the time to sit and do it and I have a lot of pictures loaded up on my camera waiting to be shared. So a lot has happened in the past... well however long since I had a "real" post. I am no longer selling purses. I really enjoyed doing it but really didn't have the time and kinda didn't wanna fork out the money anymore. I also wanted to concentrate more on my photography, which I haven't been doing much of that lately either. We are just so much more busy in the summer time. I guess with finishing our back yard and just being outside in the sun, the days just fly by. It is starting to make me sad cause I am lacking in my photography so next week I hope to get out more and shoot!

Father's Day was great. It was better then my mothers day I think! The guys (hubby, father in law and step dad) all went golfing so us ladies sat on our new deck (oh ya we built a huge deck) and we drank pina colada's and baked in the sun. We had flavored shrimp appies and then I cooked a wicked steak dinner to finish it off. Then we all sat around our little fire pit and drank wine until the men came back at about 9:30 at night! I didn't take any pics (sad I know) but it was awesome!!

And lately I have just been hanging with my kids, spending a lot of time with friends (I love my girls) and taking care of the little midgets that come to my home every day well there momma's go to work! So life is great right now!

Tomorrow is Canada Day and we have a lot planned, can't wait for that! But Friday is my 5Th wedding anniversary. Feels like its our 10Th, maybe because we are in our second home with 2 kids and life is good. We of coarse have been together for about 9 in total. We have never really celebrated one so we plan on going away (just the two of us) for a night!

Also I finally found my long lost bestie haha. It always bothered me that I had a lot of close girlfriends and a lot of friends but there was always that "void" of a best friend. Someone you could tell anything to, trust with everything you had, and wanted them to be the first to know about things (besides my hubby). I am happy to say I have that with my girlfriend Erin! She is beyond amazing! A single mom to the most amazing little boy (who is my sons bestie haha) and I know she would never do me wrong! She is a strong, independent women and I could trust her with anything. I am truly lucky to have her in my life. We have been spending so much more time together and it makes my day! Erin you mean a lot to me ;)

So there you have it, a short update. And I forgot to mention that my little Maddox is starting to walk around a lot more now. And he is sleeping in his big boy bed now.

Oh warm sunny days, I love you. Back in March the boys got a bubble machine for there birthday (from my older brother) and we finally got the chance to try it out. Wow what a cool little machine. It went crazy with bubbles and I got some great shots!

My Mothers Day, in a nut shell.

I got some beautiful flowers and a box of the best chocolates ever from my little day home girl that I watch. They brought them on the Friday which made my day cause I was having a rough morning!!

We had a few people over on the Saturday night for the UFC fights. My girl friend Erin brought me some awesome cup cakes...

Then on Sunday (Mothers Day) my father in law brought me a beautiful arrangement of flowers, from him, my boys and my hubby. Hubbs didn't do to much for me, which happens every year :( but I had a good day with my two little guys!

We took the boys to the park which was a little chilly that day but it was still fun to see them so happy!

After the park we headed to my parents house for a BBQ. My younger sister and brother did a wonderful job making dinner and cooking the steaks! So even though I was a bit disappointed it was still a good day spent with my boys and family!

P.S my oldest got a hold of a permanent marker and they hid in there fort and he decided to color all over his brothers face and then his own body. I couldn't do nothing but laugh as hubby gave him crap. A mothers day to remember I guess!!

My In-laws bought a new stove and I made sure to scoop up the giant box. I had big plans for that box! The wheels started turning in my head as I dreamed up a club house for my boys. A place to call there own and tell secrets and let there imaginations grow wild. Hubby and I put it together, decorated it a bit and got it all ready while they were asleep in there beds dreaming of magical things to come!

The endless giggles that I hear coming from within the thin card board walls as they play and peek threw the windows and just enjoy there new place that they can call there own!

They are just to proud of there new found play fort. I think they spent the first 3 days inside there just playing, drawing and giggling.

I got a migraine today and feel like crap! I need some better drugs cause taking 5 extra strength Advil's about 2 hours apart isn't working for me!

And I have to go out for dinner with a bunch of family that are here from out of town. Please let me just curl up under a rock, not cause of the dinner but because of my painful head.

On a better note I went and looked at hardwood laminate flooring on the weekend and we got some! It was a really good price and I can't wait to put it in.

Oh and another side note, the wind is blowing in something nasty... I hope we don't get more snow. I miss summer so much.

Soooo....
I know I have a problem LOL! I wanna redecorate and repaint everything again! My friend Jen and I went and looked at a few show homes the other day and wow they are so pretty, I should be banned from all show homes. There is one that I love and has the perfect amount of space that I would ever need and I loved it but... ITS VERY EXPENSIVE! So until I can afford my dream home I thought about changing my house again. I guess the good thing about paint is its always changeable. Even though its a lot of work but I really don't mind painting! Gawd I wish we had an Ikea here. I would be there so much they would probably start paying me to leave! So here is my wish list of how I want my home to look room by room:

Starting in the Living Room:
-the carpet needs to go! I want to put in my dark wood floors. I chose dark because the wood around my fireplace is very light and my kitchen is very light and the dark would look awesome!
-I need to get my other matching couch OR 2 nice comfy chairs!
-a nice big square ottoman (with storage)
-a few new tables different shapes and sizes
-then repaint I think...

Kitchen:
its pretty much the way I want it the only thing I want to do now is build in an extra cupboard that will hold all my cook books, wine glasses and maybe build in a space for wine bottles.

Master Bedroom:
I repainted my room again so the things I have left in there is:
-cover headboard and put it up
-also put dark wood floors in
-in need of some artwork (found some awesome stuff at Ikea)
-a chandelier (yes I want to hang one in there because it would look amazing)
-I would also love to get a small TV to hang on the wall. We love to watch TV in bed and right now our huge TV is blocking the window which I hate! I love natural light and that TV needs to go!

The boys rooms:
I haven't done much with either room. I am waiting until Maddox moves into the single bed so I can buy new bedding and decorate. And Gages room is pretty much all "cars". I can think of so many fun idea's for a girls room but little boys are a little tough cause its all trains, cars and trucks and I want something different then that. Plus picking paint colors is hard cause I don't wanna repaint there rooms 5 times like I am the rest of the house hahaha...

Maybe I am picky or can't make up my mind but man I better get started! I gotta make my Ikea wish list cause I'm hitting up that store big time! I think I will start room by room and make my changes and I will even take before and after pics to share. Oh and did I mention I also want the backyard finished and the basement finished.... maybe I am going crazy lol. I love the show homes but do normal everyday homes look that way and with 2 kids???

So Wednesday last week we woke up to this... Yup only here will the weather either be blowing you out of your shoes, blizzard's from hell or +20 all within days. We had no power in our house for most of the day and it got very cold in the house so I bundled the boys up in warm clothes!My little tiger in his warm outfit!And my other little monster in his warmies... It was a very quiet day with no TV, radio or Internet but we made due!

So just a side note, the past few days it has been in the +20's and we have been spending every moment of it outside at the park!

More from our Easter trip...

As you can probably tell we weren't home for Easter. We headed to Edmonton to stay with my sister-in-law for the weekend. It was a very long drive with 2 little boys but we did it. We arrived Thursday evening and just unpacked and let the boys run wild to unwind from being strapped down for 5 hours. On the ride upFriday we headed to West Ed mall and took the kids to the theme park. Little did we know (after buying tickets) that there wasn't to many rides Gage could go on. He did manage to ride a little roller coaster as long as he sat next to a older child.can you see him, third row from the top, on the left... I only had my little point, shoot camera with me for this part so I couldn't get a decent picture as they were flying around the track. But he loved it and just laughed and laughed!We waited forever to get on this little train ride and it was so slow and boring but little Gage just wanted to go. We then headed down the mall. It started to get so busy and we were all getting hungry. I saw a bunch of these poster things in a window display so I got TJ to hold Gage up in there :)

So our Friday just consisted of walking forever in the crowded mall (no shopping done). Saturday the Easter bunny visited and hid candies all over the house and the yard. The boys also got to see a giant Easter bunny in the mall. After the Easter hunt we took the little midgets to Leduc where they built a new swim park more for kids. It was fun but very tiring. Once we got back and the boys crashed we left to do some shopping. We actually ended up spending a good amount of time in build-a-bear for the boys (since it was so busy the day before). So once again, not a lot of shopping done. So Sunday before we left we tried to hit some outlet stores and the ones I wanted to go to were of coarse closed :( So then we headed home! We stopped by my brothers place in Calgary to let the kids run for a hour and then headed the rest of the way home. It was a longer drive home cause I couldn't get the little DVD player to work so we were glad to be home and into our own beds!! Hope your Easter was great!!

I love the holidays! Any reason to have happy moments running wild outdoors in your jammies yelling "there's another one" as little hands collect so many colorful eggs while dragging the full basket the whole way. With smiles so huge they just light up your life. With every step and every giggle just bringing your own childhood memories flooding back.

Our Saturday morning began with breakfast and a not knowing that one little bunny had visited the yard leaving behind buckets of colorful goodness! Not even noticing the bright colored eggs hiding around the warmth of the house. We then continued our morning as normal with a yummy breakfast and the cartoon channel running in the back ground. With a little peek out the window I hear a voice say "there's an egg in the tree". His little hands grip the blue basket and we tell him the Easter bunny came to visit! He then sees the first egg in perfect hiding, followed by another and another. As he continued outside he couldn't run or collect fast enough. With every step he yelled with excitement "there's another one", " oh there's another one".... as he continued his hunt with his little blue basket right by his side starting to fill to the rim with colorful eggs and toys, he ran and he ran...it soon led into the house where the real treasure was... a whole bundle just waiting to be touched by chubby little fingers.with every egg he opened he first had to tap it on the side of the bowl and then pulled it open to see what was hiding inside.the Easter bunny couldn't just bring buckets of candies, there must be toys for the boys...he was pretty excited to open these two little bunny's... at first he just starred at them until mommy told him to bite the ears off...I really think he was wondering why there was nothing hiding inside!Our little one finally decided to awake from his nap and join in on the Easter party funhe really just enjoyed playing with all the empty colorful shellswe continued our morning and then all piled into the truck to go swimming. It was a busy weekend of driving, walking, playing, but we all had fun and were glad to get home and sleep soundly in our own beds!

My hubby isn't the huge romantic type and I don't ever really get anything "special" for Mother's Day (sorry hun but its true) so this year I would like this please :)

My baby boy turn's ONE!!

My little baby boy turned one yesterday! Wow I can't believe a year has gone by already. I think it went much faster with him then the first. Maybe because I have 2 that keep me very busy. Daddy asked him if he felt any older, he got "the look" hee hee! He is doing so good. He has 4 teeth and a fifth popping threw. He walks with his walking toy and furniture but to scared to go on his own yet. Very happy little boy but when he wants something, he really lets you know it. He loves to snuggle but he is also a little tank. Won't crawl around toys, he will just tromp right over them. Sleeps very good, LOVES his bubba (bottle) and tries to crawl the stairs every time the gate is off. He is a tough little guy for how tiny he was at birth and we love him so much! He really loves his big brother even though his big brother doesn't always like him... but they do play well together (most of the time).

But he is our little angel boy! Happy 1st Birthday little boy, we love you so much!

Fun Factory

The boys got gift certificates to the "Fun Factory" for there birthday's so I decided to take them. I think they were still a little to young to know what was going on but they sure loved to watch. Gage got to work the pedal and fill both animals. He did a great job!Maddox just watched and waited so patiently. Then almost fell out of the cart onto his head, lucky his foot was stuck, yikes!And the finished product. Gage picked the kitty which is kinda weird cause he is scared shitless of this one stupid cat commerical on TV!? And I picked the bear for Madde!

Cozy Coup

It all started when I was at Walmart one day searching threw the movies trying to find something new for my boys to watch. I stumbled across "Little Tike's". It came with a little cozy coup toy car. Well my little Gage and this car have been attached at the hip. He watched the movie everyday and most days it was on repeat after repeat. We got so tired of watching it that we dug out the portable DVD player and popped it in there. So his birthday just passed and Nana and Papa got him his own cozy coup car that he could fit in. Wow was he excited! He wanted to help build in the worst way and waited and waited while his new little car took form! Every chance he got he would sneak a seat in his little red coup.He was so excited, happy and proud for his own little coup. I just love those little moments that make your children so excited and glowing with joy. Such a awesome memory that will always be around!He did have to share for a few minutes and give his baby brother a turn.

Some new ink

My friend and neighbour Jen was going to get some ink so I decided to tag along and get a new one! I didn't even put a lot of thought into it. I have a few that I want to get done and most are huge so I thought of doing my other foot. For just thinking up something quick, I love how it turned out. I mean it does have meaning behind it, I just had other ones higher up on my "to do" list. And I must say this one didn't hurt nearly as much as my other foot and it went very quick. I wanted all the stars to come up to that flower because I plan on covering that up and going up my leg a bit more. I had thought of a dragonfly but they are very thin in the body and it might not cover it to good. But I am very pleased with how it turned out! I am also getting my sleeve drawn up and plan on starting that one right away! Can't wait to start and finish that one!!

My oldest turns "3"

Last weekend my oldest turned 3. Wow 3 already... We just had a small family dinner to celebrate because we are having all his friends over this weekend for his big party. It is also a joint party with his baby brother, who is turning 1. So we just had a nice dinner, a small cake, a few gifts and of coarse some balloons. This weekend will be crazy but I will be sure to share pics! The aftermath of Gage having his way with his cake before we cut it and got any!
My little Maddox turns "1" March 23rd and this was his first time having cake. We thought it wasn't fair to not give him a piece and the little stinker had 2 pieces, licked the plate and even tried licking his tray! It will be fun to have more cake this weekend! So last Saturday I did pictures of my friend Brandy and her beautiful daughter Taya. I had a lot of fun photographing them. Her little girl brought all her little dress up clothes and cute jewelry and knew how to work the camera. She even practiced all her posing before hand and did a great job showing off her poses in front of the camera!! So today I get a knock at the door and received a beautiful edible flower arrangement from Brandy and Taya! This meant so much to me and it really made my day! Thanks again girls. A heart filled "must read" story

I came across this blog and started reading and reading and following and reading and I must share it with everyone out there, mostly to another mother. I cried and cried and cried! It really tugs at your heart strings and makes life seem so real and perfect. I am so blessed to have my two beautiful boys! I just wanted to say how amazing it is at how strong and beautiful this women and her story is. It is a must read for everyone! It really touched my heart and I thank her for that!

So along with my photography my neighbour (Jen) and I joined up with "The Bag Ladies" and are selling designer inspired arm candy (purses). We had our open house launch party awhile back but we had our very first "purse party" on the weekend and it was fun! I really love what I do for work. Both jobs give me the choice to stay home with my children. And they really don't feel like work. I get to hang out with awesome people all the time and make a bit of cash-Ola while I do it! So fun!! The next bit should be exciting cause we have 2 expo's we are attending with our bags and a few parties booked and I have a few photo shoots booked along with my sister's grad in May, can't wait!! I just feel so lucky to have found 2 things that I love to do!

My oldest was being a little turd, which happens a lot now cause he is almost 3 and doesn't get all mommy's attention anymore. But when I am trying to give him heck for something he did and he just laughs in my face. That's right people, you are already steaming mad cause he wasn't listening and being a little shit and then he has the nerve to just laugh in your face while you are trying to punish him. Then it makes you even more mad and you want to pop your own head off and use it as a soccer ball! Man what a bad day yesterday.

Pet Peeves ~ the little things that annoy me!

~people who drive to slow, at least drive the damn speed limit.

~people who park in the "mother with children" parking spots that don't have kids, mostly young 16 yr old kids, when I can only find a spot a mile away from the door, with 2 children. Thanks!!

~people who have to stop in the middle of an aisle at a store to chat with someone who they probably barley like. Ex: at Costco yesterday and these 3 people (all with carts) stopped in the middle of the lane blocking the whole thing having a nice little chat. Like move the hell over and chat off to the side.

~4 way stops, you don't drive right after the person in front of you goes. The person in front of you goes threw and then you take turns asshole.

~people that don't pay attention when they drive. I am not a perfect driver but this lady was driving down the middle of a 2 lane road and driving slow. Pick a F-ing lane and move the hell over.

~dirty houses. Mine is not spotless 24-7 but come on people, a dirty house is gross. Watch the show hoarders... P.S I don't wanna let my kids crawl around or play in your dirty house. Yuck!When my house is messy it is eating away at me deep down inside but with 2 kids and a busy schedule it does happen.

~When you do things for friends, family and other people and NEVER get anything in return.

~NEGATIVE PEOPLE. Enough said.

~people that are rude or dishonest.

~people that talk to me like I'm stupid or a child. Or try to tell me how to raise my kids. It's not my first day on the job, I do have 2 of them.

~When I am sick and don't get waited on hand and foot but when hubbs isn't feeling good I make sure he is well taken care of.

~People that butt in line.

~Someone that doesn't listen to you when your telling them a story or cuts you off, I know I cut hubby off sometimes but that's aloud haha.

~When my family comes over and uses something in my house and doesn't put it away! Guests its aloud but family is different. I am not a maid, clean your own shit up!

~people who are walking across the parking lot that you have to wait for. Don't walk at a angle, you take longer to get across. Just walk across and then along the side.

~people that are picky. Ya there are some things I don't like either but don't be picky about everything. I always try everything at least once.

My lists goes on and on but there are a few that I just had to get out! Maybe I will do this once a week just to vent my peeves haha!

My boys had a little 24 hour flu bug and let me tell ya I have been doing alot of laundry. My oldest puked on every blanket and sheets we owned and my youngest has had explosive crap that seems to find its way out his diaper and onto the carpet. I was up all night the other day with them. So yesterday we were all cranky and tired. Today is a much better day. Now I can finish my painting before hubby gets back. I decided to repaint the whole room the light grey. Going to still do my orange wall and I'm going to recover our head board in a nice black and white pattern. Oh and I'm on the hunt for a nice chandelier, hoping to find a used one cause I would like to spray paint it black. I will share pictures once it is totally done but it will look awesome, in my head anyways haha! Happy Friday everyone.

P.S I miss summer and I'm ready for the heat ;)

When dads away mom will....

...go shop at home depot! Yess the hubbs left late Valentines night to head to Vancouver for the week. Him and 2 other buddies got some hockey tickets to a few Olympic games. Because he was leaving late Sunday evening/early Monday morning I went out for dinner with my neighbour and good friend Jen and let hubby sleep. So we went to "The Keg" for a nice Valentines dinner and then we headed over to the casino. She had to "show me the ropes" with the slot machines cause I don't gamble. I just hate throwing away money that I know I can spend on something for the boys or the house. But if I win, then that's all okay ;) So we played a few 5 cent and 1 cent machines. Even though I lost (and Jen won) it was still fun. I can't wait until the 4 of us can go back. Anyhow so hubby has been gone, which has been super weird going to bed alone at night. Yesterday I decided to go to Home Depot and use up the rest of my gift card. I bought some more paint to finish our bedroom and some high gloss clear paint cause I am going to attempt to do some thick stripes on the feature wall. But let me get into that story now... do you have a moment?

Our room was all tan (just like the whole house) so I had picked out and painted our room a very dark grey. I thought it would be neat to paint a feature wall behind the bed in a burnt orange color with all white bedding. When I was at home depot I couldn't really find a orange that I liked. All the ones I liked were very bright. Sooo I decided to keep one dark grey wall behind the bed and repaint all the other walls a light grey and do bright accent pillows on the bed. Then as I went back there today I got the bright idea of getting a clear, high gloss paint to do stripes on the accent wall. Like I need more work to do hey... So in my head it will look good but hopefully in person it will all come together. I am still thinking the bright orange wall would look really hawt! Maybe I will save the light grey for the basement... oh I can't decide but I wanted to get it all done while hubby was gone.

But one thing I do like is I bought new curtains for the living room. We got a new "used" couch which matches our walls of tan and dark brown and the thick heavy black curtains were looking really "off" hanging up there! So I found some super nice sheer brown ones that I just love and they look amazing with the walls and couch! I just can't wait to get the other couch or a new chair to match the couch and get rid of the black love seat that is hanging around up here.

Anyways I will post a picture of the final product of my bedroom, whenever I can decide on what I am going to do...

I checked out the "Bulk Barn" yesterday and love that store. Got lot of candies, chocolates and a cute cup cake holder for the boys birthday party next month. I was going to order them each a cute cake from Crazy Cakes but there is so much cute stuff to make your own at the Bulk Barn that I may just make my own again, haven't decided yet... Also went and got a new digital camera since my oldest son broke mine. It was a sweet deal and a awesome camera. I always love to carry one in my purse cause you never know when your gonna need to snap a pic ;) Plus the hubbs wanted a camera to take on his trip to Vancouver and my other ones are rather big. Oh yes and hubbs leaves on Valentines day to Van city for a week. Got hockey tickets for the Olympics! I want a week holiday with the girls... one day :)

Yay. I am in looooove. We don't use our closet by our back door, just off the dining room and kitchen so we had put this crappy little shelf in there and it has been in there ever since we moved in. It didn't fit in there properly and was a waste of good space. I finally decided that I wanted built in shelf's and a more permanent pantry. Well a huge thanks to my father in law, we did it and I love it. Its huge and frees up so much room in my kitchen. We even put in some hooks that I had bought a few years ago from Ikea that were collecting dust in a box. I can hang all my brooms and aprons on the hooks. I love having extra storage and being organized!

I have had my (gel) nails done for probably about 6+ years. I woke up this morning and decided I wanted to paint them fun colors and just needed a change. So I did just that. I cut and filed them all off, painted them (a few times and a few different colors) and I am liking it so far. I am already used to them. Texting is a bit different but that's okay. And the best part is, I will save $45 a month. Now I just wanna go nail polish shopping :) Just think of all the polish I could buy with that saving!

P.S hubbs and I "finally" put away ALL the mountains of laundry we had clean, which by the way took us all morning. If it were just me it would have taken all day for sure. Anyways I went threw my closet and got rid of almost half. I always tried to before but I always thought "I will wear that someday" but today I just did it and bagged it and it felt good! Now I kinda wanna go clothes shopping too, maybe after nail polish shopping ;) Trying to change to a different style in clothes too. Getting older I guess, needing a change in all kinds of ways.

So I am hoping this is my year to start my new goals and business's! I have been trying to get my photography business started and keep busy, which is tough cause there are alot of great photographers around here. But I plan on getting my stand and some backdrops soon and getting some new and exciting stuff out there. And hopefully getting some new gear in the next few months as well. I am also trying to be a sponge and take in lots of info, tips and learning that will help my photography grow!

Also my neighbour and good friend (Jen) and I became "Bag ladies" and are selling purses. Which I am pretty excited for that adventure as well! We will be having our big launch party at the end of this month! I am just excited to start these adventures and make them work so I can stay home with my boys and bring in some extra money! I love being a stay at home mom and just want to bring in some money as well. Plus it helps me have time out and away and enjoy adult time even if I am working! Some things I love in life is capturing special moments in a photograph to cherish forever and purses and getting to do both of these as "work" is so special to me. I always hated working for other people and doing a job that was just another job. I love being my own boss and enjoying what I do and having a job that really doesn't feel like a job! I was never a shoe girl but always had to buy a new purse every month so this is right down my alley!

So here is to starting my newest adventure, building more to my photography business and just enjoying life! 2010 will be my year for success!

I think my oldest is getting sick! 1:00 in the morning I heard him breathing so weird it freaked me out and made me run to check on him. Now today he sounds "horsey" and when he coughs its a "barky" sound! I sure hope it turns into nothing major and he doesn't share with myself or his baby brother! I guess its soup for supper tonight!

Our Christmas in Photographs!

Our Christmas was great this year! We had dinner at our house on the 25Th and just had family and friends come and it was (some what) relaxed and not rushed. It was nice to just stay home for once! So I thought I would share our Christmas in photographs! So beware, picture heavy!! We had our Christmas at my moms early, while my brother was here so we just had munchies and drinks and opened our gifts!Gage got a hold of the camera and was taking pics! My little photographer did great!!
Next we spent Christmas Eve at the In-Laws place! More snackie foods and drinks!
Christmas day begins!! The boys got beyond spoiled from everyone!
Opening gifts wore them out haha!Grandma got them matching shirts to wear for Christmas dinner! I somehow didn't get a picture of them together but you can see how cute they looked!! I had to share a pic of my new Christmas gift! I got spoiled this year! Can't wait to try this little baby out!!! Just thought I would share these last few too! I snapped these ones before Christmas! Wow.
Been meaning to do a post awhile ago but been so super busy... Trying to get all my photography sessions edited and out the door. Getting ready for Christmas and everything in between. We have been threw colds, migraines and trying to get prepared for Christmas since we are having dinner at our house this year. Hubby and I decided we wanted to just stick around home and let the boys open there gifts and enjoy them this year. Instead of rushing off to 3 different dinners in one day. I am pretty excited to make dinner this year! We have also been trying to get out to Christmas events, with parties threw hubby's work and events with the baby groups I am in. Busy time of year!!

So some other things to share... my little Maddox is pulling himself to standing now. Growing so quickly and making this momma proud but sad at the same time. And my little cute bean left me a wonderful present a few weeks ago. He woke up early one morning so I fed him and changed him and then he decided to puke on his jammies so I just stripped him down and put him back to bed in a diaper (have done it lots before). Well 8:30am rolls around and he was bawling. So I drug myself out of bed and only got to his door and smelt something so awful. I go into his room and there he was NAKED and pooh everywhere. He had pulled off his diaper and I swear he shit like 3 times cause there was sooo much pooh. Most of it was in one corner of the crib but he must have crawled around in circles a few times in his crib cause it was spread from one end to the other. It was so bad I actually threw out the sheet and one stuffed animal. I just thought it wasn't worth trying to scrub clean and the smell was awful. Poor little guy... I had to lay him in the tub and spray him off first and then bath him. I hate pooh!

So onto other things now... I am done my shopping. Just need to buy a bunch of stuff to fill the boys stockings. Hubby thinks I didn't buy them enough gifts but they do have grandparents that spoil them as well. I just love Christmas :) TJ and I aren't buying for each other this year. We didn't last year either cause we bought the laptop. This year we would like a new couch.

It was sooo cute.Here we are visiting great grandma.Here are a few pics from hubby's "kids" Christmas party. Gage isn't scared of Santa anymore so that was good. Last year he didn't like Santa to much. And Maddox just starred at him!This last one was a awesome hair day haha. The boys had a bath in the morning and then Maddox went down for a nap and when he woke up all of his hair was sticking up.

Started a New Years goal early...

I bought a journal.

And I am loving it. I write down memories, thoughts, goals or dreams and its a really good place to "vent". I recommend every mom has one on there night table or anyone for that matter. I don't write in it every day, just when I feel the need to jot something down!!
